Central Library of St. Anne’s
College of Engineering and Technology, housed in the ground floor
of Annai Annammal block. The total area of the Library is about 529.38 M 2 . It has a
seating
capacity of 100. Our Library is equipped with a rich collection of books pertaining to
various
disciplines for issue and reference. Our Library has 13937 volumes of books consisting of
5995
titles, 432 back volumes of journals, 837 non- book materials, and 379 project
works.
We have subscribed 24 International
and 24 National periodicals for regular reading. E-
journals and magazines are also subscribed and the library members are allowed to have
online
reference. The library is computerized with bar coding facility to expedite work for the
benefit of
users.
The Library's mission is to provide the SANCET community to access to the rich and relevant information resources to support their teaching-learning and research activities.
The Vision of the Central Library of SANCET is to serve as one of the leading libraries of Engineering institutes in the country.

SANCET library subscribes DELNET for accessing electronic resources such as e-journals, e-books to support the academic activities of the students and staff of the Institute. The resources subscribed by the Institute is governed by license and contract agreements and contains strict guidelines on the use by the authorized users. In addition National Digital Library and DSpace repository are also provided to access e- resources.

The book bank Scheme is run for
economically backward, needy and meritorious students of SANCET. The book bank scheme
follows the policy of “First Come First Served” basis.

All the Staff and Students of St. Anne’s College of
Engineering and Technology are the active members of central library. Books are issued by
barcoded ID cards.

Reference Services: Library has excellent reading hall that has reference books, hand-books and dictionaries for reference purpose.
Photo-Copy Services: Library has photo copying facilities along with digital copier and network printer.
Current Awareness Service: We have subscribed 24 International and 24 National periodicals, DELNET-e-journals and 2 NEWSPAPERS AND 3 MAGAZINES for regular reading of library members to update their knowledge.
Online Reference: Digital library has been established with 25 computer terminals. Library members can browse e-journals and e- books. Our library is automated library management system. Library members can search book either by author, title, publishers or by any word by OPACPLUS.
• Two Books will be issued to students and non-teaching members for a period of 14 days. Five
books for faculty members, for a holding period of 30 days.
• Reference Books, Encyclopedias, Hand Books, Dictionaries, Periodicals, Student Project
Reports, and Back Volumes will not be issued.
• Members, before leaving the counter must ensure that whether the received books are in
good condition or not. If any damage/marking should be immediately reported to the
Librarian, failing which the member to whom the book was issued will be responsible.
