About SANCET

Reading the signs of the times, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Anne, Tiruchirapali has vowed to place the thrust on opting for the poor. It has been working for the cause of the education and the upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden. After a thorough study, reflection, prayer and discernment, we have proposed to extend our mission through job-oriented training programmes, in the name and style of St. Anne's College of Engineering and Technology, chiefly focusing on the option for the poor, and established the same in the Academic Year 2009-2010. Our aim is to give hope and dignity to the student community through education by means of which character is moulded, strength of mind is increased, intellect is enhanced and also by means of which one can stand on one's own feet. We train the youth to see the good in every human being and to take the best out of each individual, to inculcate a strong sense of values in every student and to help every person promote love, peace and justice in the society.

At SANCET, the faculty members really motivate all the students to develop their skillsets by celebrating Inter-Collegiate Fests, which help every student participate in paper presentation, do mini-projects and take part in technical quiz programmes.

Soft Skill Training Programmes conducted at SANCET develop the communication skills and soft skills of each and every student. National Level Conferences celebrated every year here motivate the students to project their ideas and learn new technologies. I express my heart-felt thanks to the Institution for giving me the best opportunity to explore myself.

I was a student of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of SANCET. Teachers did a fantastic job in making the students understand the course content. It is proved that our teachers can handle any challenge thrown at them. Our teachers encouraged us to learn from our mistakes and always reminded us of a corporate world out there which does not recruit candidates based not only on marks but also on their skill levels. Our teachers used to teach us or at least keep us informed about the latest trends in technology. It was with great sadness that I left the threshold of this Institution and I will always remember this Institution with fond memories. Regarding the facilities, our College has a massive library and laboratory which should help students keep up with new improvements in their fields.
