The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations. Being the only national organization of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology, ISTE effectively contributes in various missions of the Union Government. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE / DST / MIT / State Governments are well associated with the ISTE for programmes relating to technical education. The Headquarters of ISTE is located at New Delhi. Our college is under Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry section.

The ISTE staff chapter was inaugurated on 06.05.13 in St.Anne’s college of Engineering & Technology, Panruti, Cudaloore-Dt, Tamilnadu-607110.It was inaugurated by Dr.K.Manivannan, secretary of ISTE Tamilnadu, Pondichery session by lightening the lamp and opening up the memorial of staff chapter certificate. He also distributed the life membership certificates to the staff members and delivered his address. He explained the importance and benefits of ISTE staff chapter. The secretary of St.Anne’s college of Engineering &Technology participated in this function and felicitated the gathering. The superior of the St.Anne’s community Sr.Immaculate also participated in this function. The principal announced the secretary cum treasurer and executive members of this chapter and felicitated the gathering.
